A few days ago, the makers of Bole Chudiyan had unveiled the first look of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mouni Roy from the film. However, BT now has it that the actress is no longer a part of the Shamas Siddiqui-directorial, which is expected to go on floors in a few weeks. Producer Rajesh Bhatia confirmed the development, saying, “Yes, Mouni is no more a part of the film, and we will proceed with a new leading lady. After allocating dates to Bole Chudiyan, she wanted to give those dates to some other project. She was interfering with the script and behaving unprofessionally. For instance, even after signing the Memorandum of Understanding and being paid, she walked in at 5.30 pm for a 3 pm final narration on May 29. She barely attended the workshops and readings and so, we had no option but to replace her. We are in the business of making movies and it’s not a hobby for us.”

We reached out to Mouni for a comment. Her spokesperson responded saying, “It was an amicable parting. Mouni couldn’t do the film as her dates were clashing with another commitment. She wishes the team only the best and is confident that the film will shape up brilliantly.”
