While filming an action sequence on a ship in Gujarat, a door fell on him and he fractured his cheekbone

Vicky Kaushal who has been shooting for debutant director Bhanu Pratap Singh’s untitled horror film which revolves around a ship that lies static at a beach, had a mishap on Thursday. He fractured his cheekbone and also needed 13 stitches on his cheek.

A source from the sets informed that since the last five days, the team had been shooting in Alang in Gujarat which boasts of the world’s biggest ship-breaking yard. During a night shoot on Thursday, the second last day of shoot, when Vicky was filming an action sequence in a ship, he had to run and open the door. “Unfortunately, the door fell on him and he was badly hurt. He was rushed to a local hospital by the crew and flown to Mumbai on Friday morning,” added the source. The actor will be consulting a doctor in Mumbai and will be back in action once he is better.

The film, which also features Bhumi Pednekar, is being directed by Bhanu who was earlier Shashank Khaitan’s assistant director. The team had earlier shot a large chunk in Mumbai during a month-long schedule in January.
