KEDARNATH managed a fair opening day with collections in the 7-7.25 crore nett range. But its not really about the first day for this film but where it goes after the first day. It was a better than BATTI GUL METER CHALU and similar to films like RAAZI and BADHAAI HO though those films had smaller releases.

It is actually the biggest opening of the Sushant Singh Rajput beating the 6.30 crore nett of SHUDDH DESI ROMANCE. This is not counting M S DHONI - THE UNTOLD STORY as the driving force behind that film was not the stars but the cricketer himself. Its going to be about the growth over the weekend which should be there for the film but depends on what level. The regular 10-20% growth will probably not be good enough for a sustained run at the box office.

The positive is that opening day keeps the film in with a chance as a love story with such sort of music, this film could have registered much lower first day numbers.
