2.0 (Hindi) had a super strong holiday on its second Friday as it collected 5.75-6 crore nett apprx. The collections are only 20-25% down from Thursday and that is despite competition from a new release KEDARNATH. The film had been dropping 15-20% on the weekdays post Monday but stabilized very well on its second Friday.

The film is strong across all mass markets bet it UP, Central, Bihar and Gujarat. The latter did not have a great start but is now doing well. The film should emerge a SUPER HIT film which should be confirmed if that expected big jump comes on Saturday. It Friday business also means it has a shot at the 200 crore nett mark but that will probably depend on what happens in week three. The film has also held up well down South with Mysore and Tamil Nadu are also holding well.

2.0 is continuing to go strong across the country. The film grossed around 12 crore nett across the country on its second Friday. This takes the total collections of the film to around 319 crore nett. The Hindi version is just a little short of 50% but from today onwards it should easily be giving more than 50% of the all India contribution.

The gross figures are a little short of 400 crore. The film will start crossing the numbers of the top Hindi films with this years top grosser SANJU being crossed before the weekend is out. But those films are not the best comparison as those were one format films while 2.0 is released in many formats.

The best comparisons are the BAAHUBALI films and other Rajinikanth films. BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION is out there on top but 2.0 can cross BAAHUBALI: THE BEGINNING which had a GROSS of 515 crore and is the second highest grossing film in India.

The film has surpassed all the other Rajinikanth films which generally have a release on many formats and are generally big grossers as far as South films go. His flop films like KAALA and LINGAA do 120 and 100 crore GROSS respectively in India and would probably make it into the top twenty films of all time in South Indian cinema

Only his films 2.0, ENTHIRAN and KABALI have crossed the 200 crore GROSS mark in India outside the BAAHUBALI films.
