Two films went on the floors on Friday, debutant director Raj Mehta’s Good News, featuring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. The Karan Johar production is a family drama with Akshay and Kareena as a married couple, trying for a baby. Diljit and Kiara, play a Punjabi couple, who help them.

A source from the sets informed that the film took off in Chandigarh. “Diljit and Kiara will be shooting for a week. Akshay and Kareena will join the team by mid-December,” adds the source.

Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Panipat also went on the floors at ND Studio, Karjat, on the Shaniwar Wada set. The historical drama is produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.

“The shooting began with a scene featuring Arjun. Kriti will be start filming on December 2 but she hung around watching Arjun perform the whole day and the team had lunch together. The shoot at Karjat will go on for a month,” informed a source close to the development. While Arjun had been hiding his new look where he has shaved his head and has grown a moustache on Thursday he flaunted it. The actor was spotted at a party that had girlfriend Malaika Arora, Kareena Kapoor Khan with son Taimur Ali Khan, held at Amrita Arora Ladak’s residence in Bandra. Arjun plays Sadashiv Rao Bhau while Kriti plays Parvatibai.
