STREE had a huge Monday as it grossed in the 9.50 crore nett range as Janmashtami gave the collections a big boost. Even if it was not Janmashtami, the film would have held up very strongly and it will be interesting to see how strongly and the Tuesday numbers will tell. The collections are around 40% up from day one as the film raked up huge numbers in North, Central India and Gujarat where Janmashtami is a major holiday.

The total of the film is now 41 crore nett and there is a chance that the film will end up with a first week of 55 crore nett depending on where Tuesday lands. This will be in the same range as RAAZI and then it remains to be seen how strongly the film maintains post the first week.

YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA PHIR SE got a limited affect of Janmashtami as although collections were steady for a Monday they were still lower than Friday whereas STREE had gone up. This is mainly due to the fact the film has not found an audience. The film is probably heading for a first week of 9.50 crore nett although it will depend on where Tuesday lands as that is the actual Monday this week.
