SULTAN has fared poorly in China as collections came down on Monday but this was on the cards as the screenings were dropped heavily on Saturday. The Chinese distributors who chose this date to release the film with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT will suffer but the film could have struggled on another date as well.
It does not make much a difference to the makers of the film as the film was sold like most other Indian films in China and they got the fixed amount which will be close $1 million and even when the films do very well the Chinese distributors do not give the overflow as was seen with the case of HINDI MEDIUM.
The business of SULTAN in China is as follows.
Friday
Collection- $940,000
Screenings - 36,847
Footfalls - 2,08,396
Saturday
Collection - $1,110,000
Screenings - 23,759
Footfalls - 246,636
Sunday

Footfalls - 2,16,062
Monday
