After Hrs was the first to tell you that Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu are teaming up for an anthology, which is on the lines of the latter’s 2007 hit Life In A... Metro. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have already been approached for the drama. Arjun, however, couldn’t sign it due to date issues. Now, we hear, the team has offered the film to a few other actors.

Says a source, “Anurag was impressed with Rajkummar Rao’s repertoire. He was keen to cast him and discussed the idea with Bhushan. Both of them met the actor recently and offered him the part.”

Raj, however, hasn’t officially signed on the dotted line. “The Newton actor has been approached for the same track that features Kareena. He has liked the story, but is waiting to see if his dates can be worked out.” We reached out to him, but he didn’t respond till the time of going to press.

Apart from the Stree hero, the production house has approached two more actors for the other stories. “The script has been sent to Sidharth Malhotra, but reportedly he hasn’t responded. Along with him, it has been offered to Nawazuddin Siddiqui as well.”
