Anurag Basu’s Life In A Metro (2007) not only won critical acclaim but also received a warm box-office response. Based on four different tales set in the metropolis, each one was told in a poignant manner.

Eleven years later, one hears that the filmmaker is almost done with scripting its sequel and he is likely to produce it under his own banner.

A source says, “Kareena Kapoor Khan will reportedly feature in one of the stories and Arjun Kapoor will also be a part of one of the other plots. Their tracks are not connected is what we hear.” One knows for a fact that Anurag was offered to direct Ajay Devgn in Boney Kapoor’s sports feature. However, the director had not shown inclination because he was busy with his own production, which he wanted to write, direct and co-produce. Though the rest is conjecture, it would be important to state that Anurag is most likely to get his best buddy, music director Pritam on board for this sequel.

Looks like Kareena and Arjun are both bagging good offers. Apart from this film, Bebo is slated to work with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions opposite Akshay Kumar. Arjun has his plate full with multiple genre movies such as Rajkumar Gupta’s India’s Most Wanted, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat, Vipul Shah’s Namaste England and Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
