After receiving positive reviews for their performances in Sacred Games, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte will now be seen in Honey Trehan’s directorial debut. After Hrs was the first to tell you that Nawaz had been locked for the film.

Reveals our source, “The movie is titled Raat Akeli Hai. It’s a crime thriller set in rural India. As it has strong content, Honey wanted a powerful actor who would complement Nawaz. He was in talks with a few actresses, but things didn’t work out. After watching Sacred Games, he felt Radhika was the perfect fit and approached her for the role. She and Nawaz share a great rapport, so the latter was instrumental in getting her on board.”

The talented duo has done two movies — Badlapur (2014) and Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015) earlier. Our source adds, “The team is scouting for locations in the interior parts of India. The film is likely to go on floors by the end of this year” We contacted Honey but he didn’t respond till the time of going to press.
