Late actor Om Puri’s film Lashtam Pashtam is gearing for an August 10 release. Debutant director Manav Bhalla’s venture is being touted as a celebration of friendship that transcends borders.
Bhalla says, “While our film references India and Pakistan, its [story can resonate with] any friendship that transcends the limitations of political borders. We were blessed to have a fantastic ensemble cast, led by the legendary Om Puri ji, who believed in the film’s theme of friendship beyond borders. The film highlights the values that Om ji held dear — as a human being and actor — which were in favour of universal peace and harmony. I will cherish having worked with him on [probably] his last film and my first film.”
The film also features Tisca Chopra, Dolly Ahluwalia, Ishita Dutta, Feryna Wazheir, Vibhav Roy and Samar Vermani.
