DHADAK did well in its first week with business of 50.50 crore nett. The film got a good start and scored over the weekend and saw a good hold on Monday. There has been a drop in collections towards the end of the week but the film has been liked by the youth outside the big metros.
The film has done very good business in places like UP, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, Nizam Andhra and Bihar but is low in Wast Punjab and Delhi city. Mumbai is also on the lower side but the original Marathi film SAIRAT from which DHADAK is adapted did very well in CP Berar and the Marathawada belt of Nizam/Andhra circuit and DHADAK has scored best in same markets.
The collections of DHADAK till date are below.
Friday - 8,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,75,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 50,50,00,000 apprx
The eighth day will tell where the film is going but the film is a HIT as it will cross 65 crore nett for lifetime business unless there is a shocking drop. On the other hand, the hold cant be accepted to be super strong also as there are many areas where the film has not been liked. In terms of appreciation its a mixed bag with some places positive and other negative.
Meanwhile, the Hollywood release SKYSCRAPER grossed a poor 7.75 crore nett in week one while HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION was even worse with around 3.75 crore nett
