Sanjay Dutt and Chunky Panday, who have shared screen space in films like Zahreelay and Khatron Ke Khiladi and, more recently, in Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke (2013), are reuniting for the former’s upcoming production, Prassthanam. A remake of the eponymous Telugu political drama, the film is being steered by the original’s director, Deva Katta, with some changes in the story to cater to a pan-India audience.

A source from the sets reveals, “Chunky plays a kingmaker, an influential man used to having his way with everything. The actor recently shot a schedule in Mumbai and will now head to Lucknow for a week-long shoot that kicks off on July 23. He has scenes with Dutt, who plays the lead, his onscreen wife Manisha Koirala, and son Ali Fazal.”

Before that, Chunky is in London with Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Riteish Deshmukh and Kriti Kharbanda, among others, to reprise his turn as Aakhri Pasta in the fourth Housefull film which is being directed by Sajid Khan.

Prassthanam deals with politics at the grass-root levels that occur in villages of India, corrupt political systems and the nexus between businessmen and politicians.
