Sonam Kapoor is an out-and-out Mumbai girl. She believes that the city is one of the safest in India and it’s her absolute favourite, too. “Mumbai is my home and it always gives me reasons to feel proud of it,” says the actress, who is born and brought up in Maximum City.

She adds, “For me, flirting with Mumbai is hanging out at Juhu Beach. I’m a complete Juhu girl; I was born and brought up here. I enjoy walking on the beach early in the morning or in the evening and eating bhutta. Also, drives are the best in Mumbai. You can take your car to any ice cream parlour or Amar Juice Centre, where you can gorge on lip-smacking ice creams and pav bhaji, served right inside your car. There are many street food joints outside Mithibai College as well. The bhurji pav there is amazing. I also love Chowpatty in South Mumbai. You can see the Queen’s Necklace from there.”

When asked what she truly misses doing in Mumbai after becoming a celebrity, Sonam says, “I miss a lot of things — enjoying street food, walking on the streets and going to the beach… I used to love visiting Haji Ali. I feel bad that I don’t get to hang out much in my city. I miss going to Bandstand. There was a time when I used to meet my friends there every day. We’d walk around the promenade and also go to Jogger’s Park. I miss all of that.”
