Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Kabir Khan and Sidharth Malhotra, among other celebrities, turned up for Mukesh Chhabra’s birthday bash in Juhu

Casting director-turned-filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra turned 38 with a star-studded bash at a Juhu restaurant on Saturday night. The all-nighter doubled up as an after-party for many celebrities who arrived after attending a fashion event earlier in the evening. “I loved it! It was a great night. Everybody showed up and I feel so grateful,” Chhabra told Mirror.

Salman Khan and brother Sohail, Kartik Aaryan, Fatima Sana Shaikh with co-star and friend Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Dino Morea and Chunky Pandey were among the revellers. “While entering the venue, Salman shook hands with a few children gathered outside as the mob grew larger. Inside, he stayed close to long-time friend and former co-star Preity. When the birthday boy offered him some cake, he pretended to take a bite for the cameras but stayed sugar-free through the evening,” a guest from the bash revealed, adding that the actors pulled Chhabra on the dance floor, and he stayed there for the most part of the night. “Ayushmann (Khurrana) and Rajkummar (Rao) set the dance floor on fire. The place was booked in advance and it was planned to be a cosy gathering for family and close friends with Chhabra and his assistant sending out personal invites to everybody,” the source added. Anil Kapoor turned up and interacted with his Race 3 co-stars Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem. Filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan, Nitesh Tiwari, Ekta Kapoor and Krishika Lulla and cricketer Hardik Pandya were also spotted.


The celebrations continued through Thursday with the birthday boy spending time at Sushant Singh Rajput’s home. Sushant will feature as the leading man in Chhabra’s directorial debut, the Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars, which goes on floors next month.
