OCTOBER showed very good growth of 55% on Saturday as it grossed 7 crore nett with high end multiplexes in metros doubling up in collections. A circuit like Mysore almost doubled its collections while many theatres in Mumbai city also were almost double.

There was a partial holiday in some places like Baisakhi in Punjab and Tamil New Year in Tamil Nadu which would have helped in these places but as content not really for these markets, the lift cant be seen in the collections. The Saturday growth is very good but on Sunday the film will find it difficult as the growth comes from Bihar, Rajasthan and Haryana and its hard to see the film getting good numbers in these parts. The key is the weekday business in the metros.

Saturday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 11,50,00,000 apprx

The Hollywood release RAMPAGE showed a jump of 50% as it grossed 3.75 crore nett on day two an took its total to 6.25 crore nett. The film will cross 10 crore nett for the weekend which is low generally for a action Hollywood film. But this film came with no promotion and without a 3D release and hence that the collections are respectable.
