Rekha, who is up for a guest spot as a judge on the singing reality show, Rising Star, over the coming weekend along with regulars, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and singers Shankar Mahadevan and Monali Thakur, has a surprise up her sleeve. Ahead of her TV appearance, the actress has shot for a video that will feature her singing the memorable verses of her Umrao Jaan ditty, “Inn Aankhon Ki Masti”.

According to a source close to the development, she shot for the video on Monday. Besides the song, Rekha will also perform a special act with the contestants in the live episode.

“Music transcends all boundaries and I believe it sets you free. With Rising Star, the channel has given many of its contestants a platform to explore music and I am looking forward to seeing the budding talent in action,” says the diva.

Rekha had made a special appearance on the dance reality show, Super Dancer, in December last year.
