Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is on a six-day visit to India, had a power breakfast with business leaders in Mumbai on Thursday. In the evening, he met with members of the Hindi film industry at the ‘Shalom Bollywood’ event held in a SoBo five star on Thursday.

The guests started arriving at the venue around 8.30 pm with Amitabh Bachchan, alongside son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, was among the early birds. Vivek Oberoi with wife Priyanka Alwa, lyricist and Central Board of Film Certification Chief Prasoon Joshi, filmmaker Karan Johar, Tanuj Garg and veteran adman Prahlad Kakkar were on the guestlist too.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed Netanyahu in his speech, referring to Mumbai as the “entertainment capital of India” and added that the Maximum City will always have a special place in Global Cinema.

“Raj Nayak was amongst the first to address the audience and was followed by Bachchan, who spoke about Indian cinema and it’s growth,” informs a source from the event.

Netanyahu and his wife are reportedly set to return to Israel today.
