FUKREY RETURNS had an excellent second Friday of 3.25 crore nett as it took its total to 52.75 crore nett apprx. The film is on a huge run and is a SUPER HIT. The drop on the second Friday has turned out to be just 20% and they way the film is going in North its going to be a huge jump on Saturday. The film has already crossed the distributor share of HINDI MEDIUM which before FUKREY RETURNS was the biggest small film of the year and there is plenty of gas in the tank left yet. The busines of FUKREY RETURNS till date is as follows.

The film is probably looking at business in the 75 crore nett region and could be higher if it can get some decent numbers post the release of TIGER ZINDA HAI. The film is also the biggest HIT for the actors, director and producers involved in the film. The producers Excel Entertainment have made big films with big stars like DON, DON 2 and ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA but FUKREY RETURNS is easily a bigger HIT than all those films.

The film is on course to become one of the highest grossing small films of all time. The two films it chases are THE DIRTY PICTURE and AASHIQUI 2 both of which did around 80 crore nett. THE DIRTY PICTURE can sort of be taken out of the equation as it had an ensemble cast so together this cast gave it some value and a 30 crore budget in 2011 is far more than 30 crore today.
