SECRET SUPERSTAR collected 14 crore nett apprx in week two which took its total to a little over 55 crore nett. The film has been about mainly the opening weekend which got a Diwali boost but has not really held well after that. It has sustained in parts on low collections but the only thing that has worked for the film is the extended guest role of Aamir Khan which gave it a fair weekend and pulled it through. The film in terms of content has not worked and even the high end multiplexes of the five metros of Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata and Bangalore have not really taken to it.

There was GOLMAAL AGAIN for competition but that film did not affect much as SECRET SUPERSTAR got more than enough screens and also it had a different audience profile. In fact it was GOLMAAL AGAIN that got affected in the opening weekend as it should have had 70% of its screens which would have let it fulfill its potential on the opening weekend. The lifetime business of the film should finish in the 60 crore nett range depending on what happens on the third Friday. The trend of the film is very similar to DEAR ZINDAGI but will not reach the figures of that film unless the third Friday does not fall at all.
