Tomorrow morning will see Ajay Devgn head out for his fitness regimen -- only, this time, he will swap the gym for Mumbai roads and keeping him company in his workout will be his German Shepherd, Koko. As part of the second edition of a petathon, pet owners and their canines will gather at MMRDA Grounds in Bandra for a mile-long marathon. The initiative aims to increase awareness around pet health and give tips to owners on better parenting of their four-legged friends.

Such is the charm of the marathon that Bollywood stars including Parineeti Chopra, Tusshar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi will be seen participating in it. A source reveals, "Tusshar is extremely attached to his mini Pomeranian Poshto. The minute he heard about the event, he was game. Arshad too will be running with his pet dog, Zuniboo."

Fitness enthusiast Tiger Shroff, who is the face of the event, says, "Being fit is not just a part of my profession, but my passion too. I am glad such an event has been organised. I love dogs and am excited to be a part of this brilliant initiative."

The event, the first edition of which was kicked off last year at Gandhi Maidan in Chembur, is expected to last for four hours. Besides pet owners and the health-conscious, the marathon will be attended by city’s leading veterinarians and members of animal rights groups.
