Imitate his trademark hand-on-the-face pose and you might find yourself dragged to court -- Shah Rukh Khan had learnt it the hard way when he mimicked Manoj Kumar in a sequence in Om Shanti Om (2007). However, a decade on, things seem to have changed.

The veteran actor-filmmaker's mannerism was recently aped by Ranveer Singh. The no-half-measures-for-me Singh posted a snapshot on social media striking a similar pose on a beachfront and wrote, "Workin' the Manoj Kumar (sic)." Reacting to the picture, Kumar told hitlist, "I have seen the snapshot. He has done a good job of imitating me. I laughed a lot when I saw the picture. Ranveer is on the right track."

Point out to him how he had a dramatically different reaction when Khan had struck a similar pose in Farah Khan's 2007 comedy drama and the veteran actor sticks to his guns. "What Shah Rukh did was hitting below the belt, what Ranveer did was in good taste," he said.

In 2007, Kumar had not only dragged the actor-director duo to court, but had also insisted that the scene be deleted from Om Shanti Om. The matter cooled down only after SRK and Farah had met the senior actor, and apologised to him for hurting his sentiments.

As for Singh, he has found an admirer in Kumar. "Ranveer is a fine artiste. My good wishes are with him. I have seen his film, Band Baaja Baaraat [2010]," said Kumar, claiming that he has acted with Singh's grandmother, Chand Burke, in a film called Pehchan.
