A few days ago, we told you
about Vidya Balan visiting the remote Vigakot outpost of the Border
Security Force, while promoting her upcoming slice-of-life family film
Tumhari Sulu in Gujarat. While in the state, the actress also graced the
world-renowned Rann Utsav in Bhuj.
There was a frenzy as Vidya walked barefeet along with visitors on a full-moon night, soaking in the beauty of the white sands, the colours and vibrancy of the festival.
Much to her delight, the Gujarat Tourism authorities played perfect hosts by offering Vidya the spacious, super-luxurious tent that is reserved for visiting dignitaries, including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The bullet-proof tent, which is located close to the India-Pakistan border, comprises a living room with sofas, a television set and multimedia players, two well-appointed bedrooms with plush en-suite washrooms and two dressers. After daylong promotions of her film at the festival that's spread over 25 acres, Vidya relaxed in the tent before returning to Mumbai. She says, “The tent was beautiful. I felt like royalty and the service was impeccable.“
Tumhari Sulu, produced by T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment, releases on November 17.
