DADDY and POSTER BOYS could not find an audience as both opened to very low collections. DADDY looks set to collect in the 1-1.25 crore nett range and even here most of the collections have come from Mumbai circuit. In most circuits the film is a complete washout as even a circuit like Delhi/UP has hardly collected 15 lakhs nett and less said about the likes of Bihar and Rajasthan the better. The collections in Mumbai circuit will be 4-5 times of Delhi/UP. These underworld films have never really worked since the first star cast one PARINDA in 1989. That film flopped badly and its pretty much been the same scenario since then barring a few low budget ones which succeeded on low costs rather than appreciation but these films still get churned out regularly in the Hindi film industry.

POSTER BOYS has collected better than DADDY but still the collections are very low as it collected in the 1.50-1.75 crore nett range. The film has a problem in terms of its look and a very television look rather than a feature film which will keep the multiplex audience away and even single screens. Sunny Deol was taking these type of numbers on opening day way back in 2001 when INDIAN and GADAR opened at 1.80 crore nett and 1.40 crore nett respectively but those films probably had more spent in actual production as well despite it being 16 years ago. The film still has an outside chance if it can grow 60-70% today but that is probably an unlikely scenario.

The Hollywood horror film IT also collected in the same range as POSTER BOYS which comparatively makes it better than the Hindi films.

POSTER BOYS showed growth of around 40% on Saturday which is decent but considering the opening film the film probably had to show a 3 crore nett figure rather than the 2.50 crore nett number it has got. The film is still just about in the running because of this growth and low costs of 26 crore including PA and it has to record a Monday number which is similar to Friday. The collections of the first two days are as follows.
Friday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Total - 4,25,00,000 apprx

DADDY showed limited growth of 20% which pretty much leaves it with no chance. On top the film is doing around 65-70% of its all India business in Mumbai circuit and Mumbai always falls more than other places over the weekdays.
