TOILET - EK PREM KATHA grossed 3.75 crore nett apprx on its eighth day which is a good collection but the way it was running on the weekdays, a smaller drop was expected. Competition wasn't expected as BAREILLY KI BARFI was the main release and as far as opening day goes that film was not expected to do much but Hollywood release ANNABELLE: CREATION has come out of the blue and recorded good collections on day one which has affected TOILET - EK PREM KATHA in metros and South India. The expected 25% drop on Friday from Thursday has gone towards 35%. The collections of TOILET - EK PREM KATHA till date are as follows.

The film grossed a solid 6.25 crore nett taking its nine day total to 104 crore nett. It will cross the business of the other release of Akshay Kumar this JOLLY LLB 2 by the end of its second weekend. TOILET - EK PREM KATHA has also become the highest grosser this year outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION in Delhi/UP on Saturday. It has a total of 24.75 crore nett in Delhi/UP after nine days - the lifetime total of TUBELIGHT was 24.37 crore nett while BADRINATH KI DULHANIA was 24.25 crore nett and JOLLY LLB 2 was 24 crore nett.
