BAREILLY KI BARFI had a low opening day at around 2.25 crore nett apprx as it did a little better in the Delhi NCR area while other areas were mainly dull. The film has a UP setting but did not really collect there as there is no value for the mass centres.

Mumbai fared poorly with only Mumbai city and Pune having worthwhile collections. The film will get growth on Saturday especially as Delhi NCR is performing best and the multiplexes have huge jumps on Saturday. It will need Monday to come in around the same mark as Friday to get a run.

ANNABELLE: CREATION is a surprise with collections around the 4.50 crore nett mark and in the metros this film was first choice of the audience despite BAREILLY KI BARFI releasing and TOILET - EK PREM KATHA on a good run. The Hollywood horror film had been released on Tuesday on previews and also managed some decent collections in the Tuesday to Thursday period of around 2.75 crore nett so the total now is 7.25 crore nett apprx. This film has probably made the figures of BAREILLY KI BARFI and TOILET - EK PREM KATHA come out 10-15% less than they should on day one and day eight respectively.

The other releases PARTITION 1947 collected very poorly wherever released.

BAREILLY KI BARFI had a decent second day grossing around 3.75-4 crore nett. The collections were up around 70-75% which is good growth. The film should cross 10 crore nett for the weekend which is low figure but it will have an opportunity to make ground over the weekdays. Day two gives the film a chance to have a decent run but only if Monday can hold. The collections of BAREILLY KI BARFI till date are as follows.

ANNABELLE: CREATION is a surprise winner at the box office with all chances to prove a HIT. The film has already racked up close to 14 crore nett including paid previews and business will easily cross 20 crore nett by Sunday evening. Despite having previews it has still shown solid growth on Saturday of around 45%. FAST & FURIOUS 8 and SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING are the only HIT films from Hollywood this year and ANNABELLE: CREATION could follow. The collections ANNABELLE: CREATION till date are as follows.
