Five years after Abhinay Deo picked up the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director for Delhi Belly, the maker is returning with a quirky satire earlier titled Blackmail, renamed Raita and presently untitled.

Mirror has learnt that the film features Irrfan Khan as a married man in the Maximum City, stuck in a monotonous nine-to-five job and an unexciting life till he finds out that his wife, played by Kirti Kulhari (inset), is having an affair. He decides to blackmail her and has some fun along the way as the whodunit-blame game turns into a hilarious rollercoaster.

According to a source close to the development, Abhinay scripted the film while working on his last release, the action-packed John Abraham-starrer Force 2. He kicked off the shooting for the T-Series production on April 4. “The film is shot entirely in Mumbai and presently in postproduction,” adds the source.

The film also features Arunoday Singh, Gajraj Rao and Anuja Sathe. Pradhuman Singh who has also penned the dialogues, also has a significant role. The film also marks Rangeela actress Urmila Matondkar’s return, 10 years after she featured in a special song for Ram Gopal Varma’s Aag.
