On August 12, the SoBo premises of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) office was jolted out of its signature stupor with the arrival of adman and award-winning lyricist-writer Prasoon Joshi, who'd turned up to assume his role as the organisation's new chairperson. After an initial glitch - the 45-year-old successor of Pahlaj Nihalani couldn't locate the entrance to the building at first - he made his way to the Films Division complex around 3:30 pm and was instantly inundated with meetings with CBFC CEO Anurag Shrivastav and other full-time employees of the board. Prasoon emerged out of his official chamber only at 8 pm, haggard but not evasive.

When Mirror caught up with him, he revealed that he'd been busy in the last few days brushing up his understanding of the censor guidelines and his role. “I'm only just getting started and there's a lot of work to catch up on,“ he said on his way out.
