When a clip of Aam Aadmi Party leader and performance poet Kumar Vishvas reciting lines from the late Harivanshrai Bachchan’s poem “Need ka Nirmaan Phir Phir”, on his show, Tarpan, reached Amitabh online recently, little did the politician know that the actor would immediately shoot back with, “This is a copyright infringement…! Legal will take care of this.”
A day later, smarting from the unexpected response, Vishvas sent a tweet to the Big B, saying, “I received appreciation from all the poets’ families but a notice from you, sir. Deleting the tribute video to Babuji. Sending earned Rs 32 as demanded. Pranam.”
Vishvas also released a statement later, stating that he had received the notice asking for the video to be taken down and for him to account for the revenue generated through it.
