Most newcomers today are jumping on the TV bandwagon. While many believe that doing a TV show — be it as a judge on a reality show or host of a game show — gets you more recognition and helps you reach out to a larger audience, Alia Bhatt feels differently.

“I don’t think I am ready for TV yet. So if you ask me if I would take up anything on the small screen, I would say not as of now. Although I really appreciate and respect the medium, I feel that I personally won’t be able to handle a TV show at all.”

And though she curated shows for a new TV channel last year, she hasn’t really been part of a TV show, per se. For that, you might have to wait for the next few years. Or even more.

Here are a few names she could take a cue from...

INDIAN INSPIRATIONS
Jacqueline Fernandez was one of the judges on a season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Sonakshi Sinha judged a past season of Indian Idol Jr and will judge Nach Baliye 8

INTERNATIONAL MARK-MAKERS
Priyanka Chopra hasn’t just hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi in the past, she’s also the Quantico lead

Nimrat Kaur was one of the key antagonists in Homeland in 2014

Freida Pinto has made several TV appearances and will appear in the upcoming Guerilla

Tina Desai is a principal cast member on two seasons of Sense8
