Model Feryna Wazheir, who made her debut opposite Purab Kohli in Airlift, will play young Nargis (Dutt) in Nandita Das's Manto, which features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the title role. Nargis was one of the celebs Manto had written about, and she was also close to his family. Inside sources say, Nandita's core team had recently approached Feryna for the role, and the deal was closed in a matter of days. Shabana Azmi will play her mother Jaddanbai in the film.
