New parents to baby Taimur who arrived on December 20, 2016, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor hosted a New Year's bash at their Bandra home. Among the guests was Kareena's cousin Ranbir Kapoor who arrived with his bestie, director Ayan Mukerji. There were two other directors as well, Sajid Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma, along with Dia Mirza and her husband Sahil Sangha. Kareena's uncle Kunal was there too, along with her sister, Karisma, in a short silver glitzy dress that read 'No glitter No party'. The party started at around 10 pm and went on till around 2.30 am. The lil' prince slept through it all and many of the guests preferred not to disturb him but Ranbir and Ayan did step into the nursery for a peek.

Selfies were clicked in fancy glasses and masks and the buffet was a spread of desi dishes severed with true nawabi hospitality. Later in the month, Saif leaves for the next schedule of the Raja Krishna Menon's culinary comedy, Chef, that will either be shot in Europe or America. He could take Kareena and Taimur along.
