After the critically acclaimed Pink, Shoojit Sircar who has already started shooting his next directorial inspired by the long-forgotten martyr, Udham Singh, is now gearing up for his next romcom, RunningShaadi.com. Mirror has now learnt that the makers have roped in veteran singer-composer Bappi Lahiri to shoot a retro style music video for the film. It will be shot in Los Angeles towards the end of this week.

“It’s a baraat song, 'Pyaar ka test', filmed on Taapsee and Amit in the film and sung by Bappi da. We thought this peppy track with its quirky lyrics could be turned into a fun promotional video with him. He is really excited,” says director Amit Roy, adding that since they don’t have enough time to fly down to the City of Angels, cinematographer-director Yash Bhatt, who has assisted Amit earlier and is based in LA, will shoot the video for him.

Amit admits that they won’t try to change Bappi’s distinctive look — dark glasses, the gold chains and the flashy clothes. “My idea is to also integrate a heart in his costumes to complement the lyrics. Yash and I have been having long Skype discussions everyday,” adds Amit.

Abhishek and Akshay has composed the track.

Will he integrate the video in the film too? “We are yet to take a call on that, but we might use it during the end credits,” Amit signs off.

We tried getting in touch with the Golden Man but his phone just rang and rang. Obviously, he was lost in La La Land.
