After surpassing Bajrangi Bhaijaan's collection (Rs 321 crore) on Saturday, Aamir Khan has outdone the domestic box office records of his 2014 blockbuster, PK (Rs 340.8 crore). His latest outing, Dangal, has minted Rs 345.30 crore in just 17 days to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time.
The Nitesh Tiwari directorial was racing towards the Rs 350-crore mark at the time of going to press. An ecstatic Aamir said, "I have never got such a euphoric response earlier. I don't think there is any greater joy for an artiste than the audience appreciating his film. I am thankful to everyone for showering so much love on Dangal. I would also like to thank Nitesh sir."
Aamir was the first to cross:
Rs 100 crore: Ghajini (2008)
Rs 200 crore: 3 Idiots (2009)
Rs 250 crore: Dhoom 3 (2013)
