AMIT SADH

The actor who has been busy shooting for Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 3 and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s untitled next, hasn’t taken a break in a long time. So when he got five days off, he immediately made plans and took off to Coonoor with his friends to ring in the New Year.

Amit has gone for a cycling-trekking camp and is making his way back in the first week of January. “The Nilgiris have been on the top of my list. I’m staying at a friend’s tea estate called Rosemerry. The people here are lovely and welcoming. I visited a nearby village to meet the tea plantation workers and have learnt to say ‘I love you’ in Tamil. I had visited the Bandipur wild life sanctuary when I was younger and always wanted to return to the Nilgiris,” Amit informs.

IRRFAN KHAN

It’s the homeland for India’s global export Irrfan Khan who, with wife Sutapa Sikdar and sons Babil and Ayaan, is on a relaxing break in Jaipur. “Rajasthan is where he grew up and it’s a very dear place for him as he can revive his childhood memories there,” says a source close to the actor, adding that he will return to the Maximum City on January 2 to start shooting for Tanuja Chandra’s next.

ALI FAZAL

He had been busy shooting for Prakash Raj’s Tadka and Fukrey 2 in Delhi and his international project, Victoria And Abdul, with Judi Dench in London.
