Ali Khan were blessed with a baby boy yesterday morning.They've named
him Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. The actress underwent C-Section at a South
Mumbai hospital, where she had been consulting a father-son
gynaecologist duo who had previously handled her sister Karisma's
deliveries. The baby was born around 8.30 am.
Bebo's father, Randhir Kapoor, told BT, “Both the mother and the baby are doing fine. I haven't seen him yet, but most children look the same - angelic. Maybe a few days later, we'll know which parent he resembles more. We're thankful to people who prayed for my daughter and her child's well-being. Now, we can't wait to take him home.“
Saif and Kareena reached the hospital from their Bandra residence around 6.30 in the morning. Within a few hours, the rest of the family arrived, too. Saif's mother Sharmila, who had flown down to Mumbai last weekend well in time for her daughter-in-law's big day, Kareena's mom Babita and Karisma, Randhir, chacha Rishi, chachi Neetu and the rest of the clan gathered on the first floor of the hospital's old wing where the baby was born. The entire floor was cordoned off to ensure the Khan-Kapoor families' privacy. Incidentally, Rani Mukerji's daughter Adira too was born in the same wing, on the third floor. Randhir added, “I had dinner with Bebo on Monday night; she was fine and glowing. Saif is looking into almost everything single-handedly, I'm very proud of him. Hopefully, Kareena will be home before Christmas, so we can all play with the little one at our annual brunch. It's a proud moment for the Kapoors. My mother, who has become a great grandmother all over again, is simply overjoyed. She's waiting to hold Taimur in her arms.“

Salman Khan and Amrita Arora Ladak were among Kareena's first friends to get a glimpse of baby Pataudi.

Saif and Kareena's 'mini nawab' arrived early morning on Tuesday and was greeted by his dad in green scrubs

Khan's son, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, arrived as scheduled on Tuesday,
December 20, at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. The actress checked into
the hospital on the previous day. It was a normal delivery and the
mother-son duo is expected to be discharged in three-four days. Daddy
Saif who was present in the labour room, stepped out in a green hospital
scrubs after his son arrived. He returned from a quick dash home.
Also spotted at the hospital were Kareena's parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, along with sister Karisma, aunt Reema Jain and grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor. Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore visited in the evening with daughter Saba. Her other daughter, Soha, was there with husband Kunal Kemmu.
Speaking to Mirror, Randhir Kapoor said, “The baby was born early morning, just after 8am, everything is normal and he's doing absolutely fine, so is Kareena. The whole family was present at the hospital for his arrival. It's a wonderful feeling to have a new addition to the family.“ Karisma Kapoor who described herself as a “proud masi“ admitted to being absolutely delighted and thrilled on the arrival of the baby. Soha texted, saying, “We are delighted. Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi is a beautiful baby and both mother and son are doing very well.“ Taimur Ali Khan Patuadi, that's a mouthful of a name, and not a surprise when you consider that Saif is a history buff. He was a Turco-Mongol conqueror and the founder of the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia. He was also the first ruler of the Timurid dynasty. A military genius, he was also a patron of art and architecture.

their son, announcing his name, and thanking the media for their support
over the last nine months, and fans and well-wishers, for their

This year the couple will miss out on their annual
vacation in Gstaad. They have been bringing the New Year in the
picturesque ski town in Switzerland for several years. But this time
they are rooted in amchi Mumbai with Taimur who is already royalty.
Tusshar Kapoor called him the “little prince“, and Sonam Kapoor the
“mini nawab“. Mum Kareena is supposed to start shooting with Sonam for
her home production, Veere Di Wedding, in April. Producer Rhea Kapoor
visited her in the hospital on Tuesday.
Late in the evening, a picture of Kareena on the hospital bed planting a kiss on her newborn son started making the rounds. But when Mirror Whatsapped the image to grandpa Randhir, he insisted twice that it was morphed.
