ROCK ON 2 continued to drop on Tuesday and has taken its five day total to 9 crore nett wirh the first week heading for around 10.25-10.50 crore nett. The lifetime business of another huge disaster this year MIRZYA was a little under 8 crore nett but it joins MIRZYA and FITOOR as the biggest disasters of the year. ROCK ON (2008) had a poor first week of 9.50 crore nett and ROCK ON 2 is still to get there despite being released 8 years later and on three times the screens. The five day business of ROCK ON 2 is as follows.

The Overseas painted a similar picture with awful weekend of $350,000, this was half of AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL which was in the third weekend.

ROCK ON 2 is a huge box office disaster grossing around 10.50 crore nett in the first week. The film started poorly and there was no pick up over the weekend. The demonetizing issue has probably hit the film for around 3-3.50 crore nett over the week but that hardly makes a difference to the final outcome and more importantly it could easily show a good trend even with demonetizing. In fact the trend could have been better than normal with demonetizing as with the case of DOCTOR STRANGE as collections were at very low levels. The recovery of the film will hardly be 10 crore from all revenue sources. The satellite of the film was said to have fetched 13 crore but that would be a stretch considering how big a disaster ROCK ON (2008) was on television. Even if it managed to get that much that money is also practically a total loss now. The opening week stands at number 37 for the year and below is a list of films in positions 30-40.

The film collected less than films like FREAKY ALI, 1920 LONDON and MADAARI which all had less than half the cost of ROCK ON 2. The film is out of theatres in most places and will hardly had anything to its collections. It could be that holdovers like AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL and SHIVAAY record better figures in fourth week than ROCK ON does in its second week.
