She may not have met success on screen, but her podcast is raising eyebrows, and hooking the famous

When it comes to candid confessions and catty comments, no other chat show gets B-Town A-listers in a twist like Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan. But, K Jo may have found his match in Neha Dhupia, whose audio chat programme, #NoFilterNeha, which airs on a music streaming service, bags top names for a no-holds-barred conversation. To her credit, she hasn’t worked with any of the A-listers she has managed to speak to. “When I drew up a list of guests, fortunately, they all said, yes. I did not need a Plan B,” says Neha. Arjun Kapoor, for instance, was in the city for 10 hours on recording day. “He had his share of fittings, rehearsals, a hair cut... Everyone thought he wouldn’t turn up, but he did.”
Her latest guest, Kareena Kapoor Khan, revealed how husband Saif Ali Khan is old school and would possibly choose a ‘historical’ name for their baby. Earlier, Karan Johar confessed that he goes shopping immediately after having sex. “I am not grilling them, it’s a normal chat. [In person too], I prefer speaking straight. I wanted the show to be just that,” Neha shares.
The reactions have taken her by surprise, though, since she didn’t expect to see as much traction “ and, if I may add, do so well.” The other first with #NoFilterNeha is her role as producer. “As a first-time producer, I make sure there are no dull questions or information that you can easily Google. I love seeing them shriek, ‘Hey, how do you know that?’ None of them has, so far, refused to answer a question.” In the next season, she plans to introduce a behind-the-scenes segment.
