Nawazuddin Siddiqui who flaunts a completely new look ­ leather jacket, earrings, coiffed hair and boots ­ in Sabbir Khan's Munna Michael in which he shakes a leg to five peppy tracks for the first time in his chequered career, has been rehearsing his dance routines for hours. “But it's not easy to face-off with Tiger Shroff,“ says choreographer Ganesh Acharya, who has directed all the songs.

Ganesh goes on to inform that a sequence in a hotel ends up with a dance-off, like the one between Madhuri Dixit and Karishma Kapoor in Dil To Pagal Hai. “Here Tiger does a step and Nawaz has to copy it,“ says Ganesh. The makers got the now defunct Imperial Palace hotel in Powai converted into a heritage hotel for a week. “Dancing comes naturally to Tiger but Nawaz has two left feet and when he copies a step, it's evident that he's not a born dancer.“

But perfectionist Nawaz was determined to get his moves right and Tiger was happy to step into the choreographer's shoes and show him how it's done. “After a point even my assistants were excited watching Nawaz turn to Tiger for dance tips,“ reveals Ganesh.

The film follows underdog, Munna who aspires to become a desi Michael Jackson some day. Tiger will be seen imitating MJ's iconic dance moves, including the 'crotch grab', 'moonwalk', 'toe-stand', 'feet shuffle', 'MJ spin', 'anti-gravity lean', 'sideslide', 'circle-slide', 'the bad train', 'jacket throwback' and the 'robot'. Nawaz's is a quirky character with grey shades.
