Shah Rukh Khan wooed and then married the love of his life Gauri Khan, despite objections from her family. In true DDLJ style, he won their affections and they agreed to give their blessings to their marriage on October 25, 1991. The B-Town power couple will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this week. And though King Khan meets his fans and interacts with the media on his birthday and Eid, the actor prefers to keep his really special celebrations — like Gauri, and his kids’ birthdays as well as their anniversary — private.

The actor is returning from The Ring schedule in time for his and Gauri’s special day. This year too, the duo will celebrate their big day with their closest friends from B-Town and society at Mannat.

A source says, “The couple hosts a Diwali bash every year. So, this year, everyone is expecting it to be a double celebration. The guest list will include people from their inner circle. Gauri is known to be a great host, so there’s no doubt that she will be pulling out all stops to ensure that this will be an evening to remember.”
