Four years after they paired up on-screen, the duo is back

In an interview with Mirror (May 24), Tanu Weds Manu-filmmaker Aanand L Rai had informed that it would be a long way before he began to film his love story of a dwarf, pointing out that it's an extremely difficult film, both emotionally and technically.

When quizzed on Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady, he had dismissed rumours that Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra and Sonam Kapoor were in the running.

Now, Mirror has learnt that Katrina Kaif is set to romance 'dwarf' Shah Rukh Khan in the film, whose working title is, Bandhua, and is set to release in December 2018.

Four years ago, the duo had paired up for the late Yash Chopra's last directorial, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Rai's family entertainer, also a romance-drama, rolls this December.

The Badshah who is presently filming Imtiaz Ali's The Ring with Anushka Sharma in Europe, will dedicate an entire year to the project, which will use VFX and prosthetics extensively.

When contacted, Rai told Mirror, "We can't confirm anything at this stage. It is too soon to talk about it!"
