Karan Johar has worked with Shah Rukh Khan in all his films except his last directorial venture Student Of The Year. For a short while, all was not well between the superstar and the filmmaker. But now, sources reveal that SRK will be part of KJo’s next directorial. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, in a very special role.

While Karan has denied it, rumors persist that his film is a remake of Doosra Aadmi (1977), which starred Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Rakhee. Shashi Kapoor had a cameo in the film and he played Rakhee’s love interest. In KJo’s film, too, there are three protagonists — Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Insiders insist that the role that SRK will essay in the film is based on the one played by Shashi in the original and that he is paired with ARB.

Karan returns to the big screen with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, this Diwali and the festival has always been lucky for the actor. We bet this one won’t be any different.
