It is known that Ranbir Kapoor is a football enthusiast and if things go right, we might see him in a film on his favourite sport soon. The actor recently met Shoojit Sircar at his office to discuss a project. While details of their meeting are being kept under wraps, we hear the filmmaker has his heart set on a subject revolving around football. Considering RK's love for the game and his keenness for a film on it, he could well be a natural fit.

Interestingly, after the release of Shoojit's Piku, there were reports that he was in talks with Ranbir for a film. However, things didn't materialise as he was committed to Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt and Ayan Mukerji's next. And while the filmmaker was planning a period football drama with Ayushmann Khurrana, which was then put on the backburner, a source tells us that the new project is an altogether different story.
