He is replacing RJ Naved Khan in the comedy show Mazaak Mazaak Mein. Sources say that the makers were not happy with Naved’s performance and asked him go. Naved agrees, “After I did three episodes, the director told me that he and the makers didn’t like my work. I was told that not only me, several people will be replaced as the show is not working. I was also not happy with the format. The idea of having 25 people together to make the show funny doesn’t work. Even I wasn’t laughing when I saw the episodes. I would prefer a show which has only three-four comedians, as that’s enough to make people laugh.”

On the other hand, Mobeen, who is known for his political satire called Banana News Network, aired on a Pakistani TV channel, is looking forward to being part of the show. “Though Mazaak Mazaak Mein is a completely different kind of comedy than what I do, I liked what I saw,” he says. Ask him if he has met Shah Rukh and he reveals that not only has he met him, the superstar even complimented him on his mimicry. “He joked that I am better than him,” smiles Mobeen, who will be shuttling between Pakistan and India for the show, that is be?ing judged by Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar. Incidentally, even Karishma Kotak who was hosting the show has been replaced by Shraddha Arya.
