There have been reports that Esha Gupta has performed an item song in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon and that the number has been snipped out because the film’s leading lady Kangana Ranaut wanted it out. The rumour has been gaining credence, as none of the principal players involved in the project has bothered to clarify. However Esha finally came forward to rubbish the rumour. Says Esha, “I was never offered the song. I don’t even know if there is an item song in Rangoon or not. I think it’s just some fake news doing the rounds maybe, but even the makers will agree, I have no idea about anything related to Rangoon.”
