Understandably, mom-to be Kareena Kapoor Khan is in baby mode. She was one of the first to not only send a congratulatory message to friend Tusshar, who had his baby through IVF and surrogacy, but we hear she was also the first Bollywood superstar to pay his son Laksshya a visit.

The two have been friends since childhood, spending time in each other's houses, besides attending each other's birthday parties, till Tusshar went to US for studies. They rediscovered their friendship when he made his Bollywood debut with Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2001), in which Kareena played his leading lady.

Reportedly, Amrita Arora Ladak, who's common friends with Kareena and Tusshar, also dropped by and a lot of baby talk followed.

Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been thick friends since 2001, when they starred in their first film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. Naturally, the actor is overjoyed that his bestie will be delivering her first child in December. By then, Tusshar’s son Laksshya will be six months old.

Like Tusshar, who kept news of his surrogate baby a secret till he brought Laksshya home, Kareena, too, kept the news of her impending pregnancy under wraps until last week, when she completed three months.

An ecstatic Tusshar shares, “When I came to know the news, I immediately congratulated her. Our children will be almost the same age and can go to the same school together. They will keep each other company and play together. Bebo and I have been friends for over a decade. Though we had met many times as kids — my dad (Jeetendra) and her mother (Babita) have worked together — we became thick friends post MKKH. We might not meet every day, but she is my true buddy. I am very happy that she and Saif are expecting their first baby. It’s God’s biggest blessing for every parent. I am sure Bebo and Saif will make wonderful parents.”

Tusshar adds, “Right now, I am just enjoying the sheer thrill of being a father. I am too excited and just enjoying every moment. All my thoughts and mind are consumed by my child. I am on a high and just living in the moment. I have not thought about schools or nurseries for him. What’s going to be fun is that now when Bebo, Amu (Amrita Arora Ladhak) and I meet, instead of our usual chatter, our conversations will center around our babies. Our conversations will change (laughs) and revolve around the Gen Next that is going to come in due course.”

Tusshar explains why they haven’t dropped in to see his baby yet. “Laksshya’s too small. He won’t be able to meet anybody except my family till he is at least three months old."
