Ever since its first trailer was launched, Te3n has generated a lot of curiosity among movie lovers for its rare acting ensemble, whodunit elements and emotional soundtrack. While the audiences is waiting to watch the film in theatres, Amitabh Bachchan's fans from Kolkata have inspired the legend to return to the City of Joy ahead of its release.

As Bachchan plans his visit this week and relives the time that he spent there, here's a sneak peak into some behind-the-scenes action of the emotional thriller that also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan (in a pivotal guest appearance).

Once known as Hindi cinema's Angry Young Man, Big B is now playing interesting characters. He explores a new territory yet again with his character John Biswas, a man seeking justice. While Nawaz plays Father Martin Das whose life changes forever by the same crime that claims the life of John's grand daughter, Vidya Balan is seen as Sarita Sarkar, a cop who swings into action when an identical crime is repeated eight years later.

The film captures Kolkata's hidden sights, locations and beauty, rarely seen before in Hindi cinema. It has been shot only at real locations like Writers' Building, Shanti Niketan, Fish Market and Mohammedan Sporting Club. Huge crowds followed Big B and the crew everywhere. Gracious as always, Bachchan made it a point to acknowledge them every time.

The movie's team got all the necessary support from the West Bengal government and Kolkata Police to block roads and facilitate shooting, especially in congested areas.

Considering that Bengalis love their food, director Ribhu Dasgupta and creative producer Sujoy Ghosh took the cast on a culinary journey across Kolkata. They would gorge on Chinese food at a popular haunt on Park Street. The director even hosted the cast for dinner at his place. Not to for get, local delicacies featured on the lunch menu at the shoot every day as well.

Te3n releases on June 10.
