Nikkhil Advani’s Bazaar has been in the offing for over a year now. First, Hrithik Roshan was supposed to star in his ambitious project, but he copped out. Nikkhil then bounced the idea off to Akshay Kumar. But the deal with that fell through because he asked for a heavy remuneration.

Nikkhil hasn’t given up. Bazaar will indeed be the film he directs next. He has his sights set on Sanjay Dutt or Saif Ali Khan for the central character. But there is a twist in the take. Bazaar is no longer a solo-hero film.

Ek se bhale do!
A source confirms, “Bazaar will have two central characters and Nikkhil wants a newcomer actor alongside an established star. He is also in talks with some of the Gen-Y actors and hopes to get a nod from someone in a month’s time.”

But there’s one issue, the source adds. “The role for the actor is not a parallel lead. The film will mostly revolve around the lead actor’s character. So it isn’t likely that any of the top gen new heroes will take up a role like this. He will have to look at the second rung.”
