Looks like various Hollywood studios are keen on releasing their films in India, ahead of the US off late. While a week in advance move is not new, two weeks prior to the US release is rare. A source close to the production house revealed, “Academy Award winning filmmaker Ron Howard's forthcoming film Inferno starring Tom Hanks and Irrfan will release in India on October 14 this year, two weeks ahead of its US release date of October 28.“

The decision was apparently taken considering Irrfan's Indian connection and to avoid a clash with big Bollywood releases during Diwali.
