With rumours of a sequel to Student of the Year (SOTY) abound, Mirror has learnt that Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, who made their acting debuts with the 2012 romantic drama, are set to reunite with their mentor, Karan Johar. Only, it's for a two-week musical tour of several US cities.

"Karan will be hosting the show while the trio will perform. Their stage turn on a song from SOTY will be the highlight of the show," says a source close to the development. Following their debut, Alia has worked with Varun and Sidharth separately, in Shashank Khaitan's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Shakun Batra's Kapoor & Sons respectively. The tour will be their first reunion.

"Few more actors, to be finalised soon, are likely to join them. The organisers are working out the final details of their performances and will be ready with the update in a week's time after which, they, along with Karan, will start rehearsals," adds the source.
